By jdavis on December 15, 2017 in Letters to the Editor, Reproductive Rights

About

Moving the Needle was formed in early December 2016 by a small group of neighbors concerned about the results of the 2016 presidential election. Shortly after our first meeting, a group of former congressional staffers authored the Indivisible Guide, a soon-to-be viral document that offered many salient points about how to interact with members of Congress. As we continued to meet, using these tactics and others to define our mission, we learned of similar groups forming around the guide and naming themselves as Indivisible groups. Therefore, we amended our group name to denote our affiliation with the Indivisible Guide.

To date, our group of volunteers includes more than 300 members from Swarthmore, Nether Providence, Upper Providence, Ridley, Rutledge, Springfield, Rose Valley, and Chester - a geographic area that spans multiple State Senate and U.S. House of Representatives Districts.
