Why I Vote Local: Child Welfare

Delaware County lags behind Montgomery & Chester Counties in key indicators of child welfare: much higher rates of children in poverty, teen births, & school absenteeism due to illness. MontCo & ChesCo have county health departments that receive state grants under Act 315 to improve local health.  DelCo, without a health department, doesn’t qualify.  Our children deserve better.

One of Indivisible Swarthmore’s key goals is to raise awareness of local DelCo issues to help motivate people to vote in off-year, local elections.  Please share this blurb on your social media feeds (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) — both text and graphic formats are included for easy sharing.  #DelcoVictory2017 #WhyIVoteLocal
